              through bubbles’ entire existence , people have thought of her as more immature // weaker than her sisters ; not only physically but also emotionally .  as the girls grew older , bubbles’ personality && her control over feelings/emotions changed a bit  —  unlike blossom && buttercup , bubbles is what psychology calls a highly sensitive person .  these people represent about less than 20% of the world’s population , && they share a number of traits .  HSPs are known for:

  • being extremely attentive to the smallest details . it’s something she’s carried with herself ever since she was little , && it is why she has always been judged by others  —  her emotional side developed much too fast for her age , which resulted in a kind of maturity bubbles wasn’t ready for as a child .  she was never weaker ; she merely felt too many different things && too much .
  • being able to enjoy solitude . while bubbles hates feeling lonely ( i.e.: as if there’s no one she can count on ) , she doesn’t mind spending time alone .  HSPs are incredible creative && find it easier to connect with themselves when on their own . it is one of the reasons why bubbles works on her art projects without other people nearby ; it’s easier for her to channel her thoughts && emotions that way .
  • being able to live through their heart .  bubbles lives intensively && while it might not always be a good thing , it also means the cherishes every little moment && happy thought more than others .  that’s why she’s so bubbly && happy all the time  —  she feels everything at a level where it becomes hard not to have some sort of reaction .  a downside to this aspect , however , is that HSPs are also more prone to intense sadness , as well as developing depression .
  • being able to recognize their strengths && weaknesses .  high sensibility cannot be cured , but the people who have this gift are more than capable of learning to live with it  —  which is something bubbles started working on in her pre-teens .  she is constantly investing in trying to focus on the positive side of every situation , && understands that she can’t expect her sisters , the professor or anyone else to feel things the way she does .  she’s hardcore , but in her own little way .
